Site information

Editorial policy

How Brazilian Spoon researches recipes, explains ingredients and handles food imagery.

Sources and original explanations

We read culinary sources, including Brazilian Portuguese publishers, compare relevant methods and write independent English explanations. Ingredient lists and methods follow a coherent selected preparation; conflicting versions are not silently averaged together.

We keep research records for our editorial work. We write our own explanations and do not reproduce publisher prose, family stories or copyrighted photographs.

Ingredient and method checks

Before publication, we check ingredient forms, method consistency, source support and useful food-safety details.

We avoid invented ratings, nutrition calculations, chef biographies and personal cooking stories. Time and yield guidance can vary with ingredients and equipment.

Food imagery and sources

Images help readers recognize dishes and ingredient forms. When licensed photographs are used, required creator, source and license attribution accompanies them.

Appearance varies with ingredient choices and preparation. The written ingredient list and method provide the relevant cooking guidance.

Publication and commercial transparency

We maintain our recipes and ingredient guides as useful information becomes available. Contact the publisher with questions about the collection.
